Strong Storms Moving into Bibb, Jefferson, Shelby, Chilton, and Coosa Counties

| April 19, 2020 @ 5:36 am

Strong storms are moving rapidly east into these counties at 60 mph.

Torrential rain, lots of lightning and thunder, small hail, and gusty winds will accompany the storms.

The threat for severe hail (1″ or greater in diameter) has lessened a bit, but we will be monitoring the cells as they approach Brent/Centreville and eventually Jemison for the possibility of larger hail.

A severe thunderstorm warning continues for Hale County, but the main threat is passing out of the County and it will be canceled soon.
