The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
East central Cherokee County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 1245 PM CST Thursday.

* At 1243 PM CST, reporting gauges indicate elevated levels along
the Coosa River above Weiss Lake. These elevated water levels will
continue to produce flooding in areas along the Coosa River above
Weiss Lake.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Cedar Bluff, Eastern Weiss Lake, Waterhouse and Howells Crossroads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
