Areal Flood Advisory for Parts of Tuscaloosa, Pickens, Greene, Hale, Sumter Counties Until 4:00 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…
Pickens County in west central Alabama…
Greene County in west central Alabama…
Northern Hale County in west central Alabama…
Northwestern Sumter County in west central Alabama…

* Until 400 PM CST.

* At 1001 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory
area. These same locations will continue to be monitored for the
possibility of Flash Flood Warnings later on this morning, and all
interests should closely monitor this ongoing flood situation over
the next couple of days.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Tuscaloosa, Northport, Livingston, Eutaw, Aliceville, Gordo,
Reform, Carrollton, Pickensville, Holt, Moundville, Lake View,
Brookwood, Coaling, Vance, Coker, Akron, Boligee, Union and
Gainesville.
