CANCELED Tornado Warning: Parts Of Chilton, Shelby, Bibb Counties Until 10:45 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Northeastern Chilton County in central Alabama…
Southeastern Shelby County in central Alabama…
East central Bibb County in central Alabama…

* Until 1045 PM CST.

* At 959 PM CST, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located
along a line extending from Brierfield Ironworks Park to Chilton
County Motor Sports Park, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Calera, Montevallo, Columbiana, Jemison, Wilsonville, Thorsby,
Harpersville, Wilton, Ashby, Brierfield Ironworks Park, University
Of Montevallo, Chilton County Motor Sports Park, Lay Lake, Shelby,
Minooka Park, Beeswax Creek Park, Alabama 4H Center, Waxahatchee
Creek, Highway 145 and CR 46 and Kelley Branch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
