Mother Nature Wins Out At Talladega Today, Race Will Resume On Monday At 1:00 PM CT

| October 13, 2019 @ 4:03 pm

After completing just 57 laps of the scheduled 188 laps, the race has been red-flagged and will resume at 1:00 pm CT on Monday afternoon.

The good news is that the forecast for tomorrow afternoon looks outstanding at Talladega Superspeedway as all of the shower activity will be well south of the I-20 corridor throughout the daylight hours. It will also be a little warmer with the afternoon high topping out in the upper 70s with a good supply of sunshine.

The race was red-flagged right after the end of the first stage as the rain started to fall and soak the track. When the cars take to the track on Monday, they will be able to make their pit stops that are allowed during the caution before the green flag falls for the start of the second stage.
