…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EAST CENTRAL TUSCALOOSA…CENTRAL
SHELBY AND SOUTHERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES UNTIL 500 PM CDT…
At 431 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Highland Lakes, or near Chelsea, moving east at 20 mph.
Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include…
Southwestern Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Alabaster, Bessemer,
Homewood, Pelham, Helena, Hueytown, Fairfield, Chelsea, Childersburg,
Wilsonville, Midfield, Brighton, Indian Springs Village, Lipscomb,
Vincent, Lake View and Brookwood.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
