Tornado Number 59 For The State Touched Down Earlier Today

With all of the active weather across the state of Alabama throughout the day today, a brief tornado touched down in the Chickasaw community in Mobile County causing some roof damage to a couple of buildings and some minor tree damage. Here is the Public Information Statement from NWS Mobile:

SURVEY SUMMARY: AN EF-0 INTENSITY TORNADO PRODUCED A SPORADIC
PATH OF DAMAGE IN CHICKASAW. THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN JUST WEST
NORTHWEST OF CHICKASAW HIGH SCHOOL, PRODUCING SOME MINOR TREE
DAMAGE. THE TORNADO CROSSED SOUTH CRAFT HIGHWAY, DAMAGING THE
ROOFS OF A COUPLE OF BUSINESSES. THE TORNADO LIFTED EAST OF
TELEGRAPH ROAD.
