New Tornado Watch Issued For Eastern Parts Of North/Central Alabama Until 9:00 AM

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a new Tornado Watch for the eastern portions of North/Central Alabama until 9:00 am Sunday.

North Alabama counties included in the watch: DeKalb and Jackson.

Central Alabama counties included in the watch: Autauga, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Etowah, Lowndes, Montgomery, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa.

A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions.

Also, a Tornado Watch continues for Cullman, Franklin, Lawrence, Marshall, Morgan, Colbert, Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison counties in North Alabama, along with Bibb, Blount, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Marengo, Marion, Perry, Pickens, Shelby, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker, Winston counties in Central Alabama until 3:00 am Sunday.
