Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Bibb, Blount, Jefferson, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, And Walker Counties Until 2:30PM

    Pickens County in west central Alabama…
    Blount County in central Alabama…
    Northwestern Bibb County in central Alabama…
    Jefferson County in central Alabama…

* Until 230 PM CST.

* At 1026 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area, especially in areas that received heavy rainfall during the last week of February. Saturated soils continue in many areas, which will lead to rapid runoff.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Homewood, Northport, Mountain Brook, Trussville, Hueytown, Jasper, Gardendale, Irondale, Leeds, Moody, Fairfield, Fultondale, Oneonta, Sumiton and Aliceville.
