Still Tracking Tornadic Storm Moving from Lamar to Fayette County

| February 23, 2019 @ 5:58 pm

We continue to track a possible tornado over southern Lamar County that will be moving into Fayette County.

The most dangerous part of the storm is west of Belk.

There is a funnel cloud associated with the storm. The rotation has tightened considerably as well so a tornado may be occurring.

If you are in the polygon, be in a safe place.

This storm will pass just north of Fayette when it crosses into Fayette County.

Heavy thunderstorms cover much of southeastern Marion, northwestern Winston, Lawrence, and Lamar COunties. Another strong storm is near Aliceville in Pickens County.
