…THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR CENTRAL LEE AND CENTRAL RUSSELL COUNTIES IS CANCELLED…

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for southeastern and east central Alabama.

…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT FOR CENTRAL LEE AND CENTRAL RUSSELL COUNTIES… At 703 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Ladonia to near Beans Mill, moving southeast at 20 mph.

     HAZARD…Quarter size hail.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated.
     IMPACT…Damage to vehicles is expected. Locations impacted include… Opelika, Russell County Sports Complex, Seale, Ladonia, Beauregard, Bleecker, Griffen Mill, Monterey Heights, Hatchechubbe, Uchee Creek, Fort Mitchell, Ladonia Sports Complex, Fort Mitchell Activity Center, Phenix Drag Strip and Parkmanville.

    IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.
