NORTHEASTERN GREENE AND NORTHWESTERN HALE COUNTIES UNTIL 500 PM
CDT…
At 427 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Jena, or 13 miles southwest of Tuscaloosa, moving south at 10 mph.
Additional thunderstorms to the west and south are converging and
may merge with this thunderstorm. This interaction and merging may
result in further intensification.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include…
Moundville, Knoxville, Jena, Mound State Park, Fosters, Ralph,
Elliots Creek, Romulus, Moundville Airport, Fosters Boat Landing,
Hull and Palmore Park.
