Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Fayette And Lamar Counties Until 10:00PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
    Fayette County in west central Alabama…
    East central Lamar County in west central Alabama…

* Until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 755 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. One to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Winfield, Fayette, Berry, Glen Allen, Belk, Bankston, Boley
    Springs, Blooming Grove, Bluff, Cody, Wayside, Richard Arthur
    Field, Fayette County Public Lake, Bevill State College Fayette, Hubbertville and Fowlers Crossroads.
