Daily Climate Report for Birmingham: June 5th, 2018
The high temperature that was observed in Birmingham yesterday was 84 degrees… 2 degrees below normal for early June at 86 degrees. It was pretty much the same story for the low temperature, as it was 61 degrees… 4 degrees below the normal temperature of 65 degrees. Birmingham was no where near the record high temperature of 100 degrees, set back in 1985, or near the record low of 47 set back in 1946.
Average temperature for the month of June so far is 77.4 degrees, which is running 2.2 degrees above the normal average temperature of 75.2 degrees.
Record high for today is 98 degrees set back in 2011, while the record low is 53 degrees set back in 1998.
No rainfall fell in the Magic City, so our moth-to-date total stays at 0.15 inches. That is 0.56 inches below normal for the month, but Birmingham still has a surplus of 4.32 inches for the year.
