Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts of Autauga, Chilton, & Elmore Counties Until 12:45 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
Northern Autauga County in central Alabama…
Southwestern Elmore County in east central Alabama…
Southwestern Chilton County in central Alabama…

Until 1245 PM CDT.

At 1049 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms was moving across the area. One to two inches of rain has fallen in localized areas and another inch is possible during the next hour. This will cause localized flooding of roadways in the area, especially in low-lying flood prone areas or near small creeks and streams.

Some locations that will experience flooding include: Prattville, Millbrook, Elmore, Coosada, Deatsville, Maplesville, Billingsley, Booth, Plecher, Vida Junction, Parnell, Autauga County Airport, Pooles Crossroads, Bob Woodruff Lake, Stanton, Wetumpka Municipal Airport, New Prospect, Isabella and Dawson Mill.
