Sun-Filled Saturday Afternoon

| March 31, 2018 @ 2:34 pm

It is certainly a beautiful Saturday afternoon across the state. The sky is full of sunshine, and temperatures are in the upper 60s and lower 70s this afternoon.

There are a few upper-level cirrus clouds floating across Alabama, but they are not impacting our weather.

Heading into tonight, the sky will be mainly clear, and it will be another chilly night with lows in the upper 40s for most locations.

USA BRIEF: A low pressure system will bring accumulating snow and gusty winds over portions of the central Plains, upper Midwest, and the Great Lakes into Sunday. Damaging winds with gusts up to 60 mph and lake shore flooding is likely to the lee of Lake Ontario over western New York. By Sunday night, wintry precipitation may spread east into the Mid Atlantic and Northeast U.S.leading to slick travel.

EASTER SUNDAY: If you like today’s weather, you should love tomorrow’s. First off, if you are up early heading to one of those many sunrise services, the weather will be chilly with temperatures around 50°, but there will no threat of rain and it will be sunny. Tomorrow afternoon will feature mainly sunny conditions, and temperatures will be in the upper 70s. No weather woes for any of those family get-togethers or eggs hunts.
