Power Restored But Recovery Is Ongoing In East Alabama

It took 72 hours for Alabama Power to restore electricity for 24,530 customers affected by the tornadoes and thunderstorms that ripped through east Alabama on March 19.
Accomplishing that difficult task took 1,828 men and women replacing 420 poles and stringing miles of line.
