Mid-Morning Check of Alabama’s Weather

Showers and storms have sagged south of I-65 and I-85 in South Alabama this morning. A large mass of rain covers Southwest Alabama, south of a line from Livingston to Demopolis to Greenville, then back up to Montgomery and Auburn.

Temperatures are now in the 50s across most of the state. It is 67F at Mobile and 69F at Brookley Field.

It will be cloudy and mild today with showers continuing over the northern half of Alabama until this evening. Highs will be in the 60s.

Lows tonight will be in the 30s with a few snow showers over the Tennessee Valley. No accumulation or impact is expected.

Monday will be a raw day with heavy clouds slowly clearing, strong northerly winds and highs struggling to get into the 50s.

Skies will clear Monday night with fair and cool conditions through Wednesday. Get ready for below freezing temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Things will moderate starting Thursday, with highs returning to the 60s and then 70s.
