Stay off the roads, many of which are closed, including officially closed across Fayette and Winston Counties.
A winter weather advisory continues for the rest of the Birmingham area of responsibility, including: Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Etowah, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega and Tuscaloosa.

Wind chills are in the now in the teens across Central Alabama, and the single digits in North Alabama. The wind chill at Haleyville is down to -2F. A hard freeze warning and wind chill advisory is in effect for tonight and early Wednesday. The hard freeze warning extends through tomorrow night as well.
