Winter Weather Advisory Extended Noon For Eastern Counties

The Advisory has been extended until noon for Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah and Randolph Counties.

The NWS Birmingham has extended the Winter Weather Advisory for Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Randolph until 10 a.m. CST.

The advisory has been canceled for Blount, St. Clair and Talladega Counties. Temperatures have warmed above freezing in those counties.

Scattered patches of light freezing rain continue over DeKalb and Cherokee Counties.

Over East Central Alabama, including Calhoun, Cleburne, Clay and Randolph Counties, light freezing rain continues with temperatures right around freezing in spots. Temperatures should continue to rise about freezing through 10 a.m.
