The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas
for…
Perry County in Alabama…
Bibb County in Alabama…

* Until 445 PM CDT

* At 142 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain
continued to spread across the area. Rainfall of two to three
inches with localized higher totals has fallen over this area
during the past twenty four hours…and another one to two inches
in some areas is possible during the next two hours. This will
produce localized flooding of some roads and streets across the
area…especially near small creeks and streams and in low-lying
flood prone areas with poor drainage.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Brent, Marion, Centreville, Uniontown, Vance, Woodstock, West
Blocton, Newbern, Vaiden, West Centreville, Heiberger, Lawley,
Ashby, Brierfield Ironworks Park, Low Gap, Mertz, Talladega
National Forest, Eoline, North Bibb and Randolph.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
