SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR ELMORE…SOUTHWESTERN TALLAPOOSA AND SOUTHEASTERN COOSA COUNTIES UNTIL 1:00 PM CDT
At 12:18 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Titus to near Wetumpka. Movement was northeast at 35 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Alexander City, Wetumpka, Tallassee, Rockford, Kellyton, Equality, Eclectic, Pentonville, Martin Dam, Santuck, Cottage Grove, Titus, Emerald Mountain, Welona, Ten Cedar Estates, Nixburg, Highway 9 And Highway 22, Dexter, Speed and Liberty City.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
