Flood Advisory Issued for Jefferson and Blount Counties Until 1030 am

Flooding is being reported in Hueytown when 1.5 inches of rain has fallen.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas
for…
Blount County in Alabama…
Jefferson County in Alabama…

* Until 1030 AM CDT

* At 737 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms continuing to spread across the area. Some locations
have received one to two inches of rain during the past two hours
and another one to two inches is possible during the next two
hours. This will cause localized urban and small stream flooding
especially in low lying areas near small creeks and streams or in
flood prone areas with poor drainage.

Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Homewood, Mountain
Brook, Trussville, Hueytown, Gardendale, Irondale, Leeds, Moody,
Fairfield, Fultondale, Oneonta, Blountsville, Cleveland,
Pinson-Clay-chalkv, Dallas and Center Point.
