Tornado Warning Expired For Parts Of Franklin County

     …THE TORNADO WARNING FOR CENTRAL FRANKLIN COUNTY WILL EXPIRE AT 400
     PM CDT…
     The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been
     cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a
     Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area.
     A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
     northwestern Alabama.

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM CDT FOR CENTRAL FRANKLIN COUNTY… At 339 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Belgreen, or 10 miles southwest of Russellville, moving northeast at 30 mph. An off duty NWS employee reported a funnel cloud with this same storm in the last few minutes. In addition, reports of large hail covering the ground have also been reported.

HAZARD…Tornado and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near… Russellville around 355 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Duketon, Rockwood, Pleasant Ridge, Dempsey and Isbell.

* At 331 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 8 miles southwest of Belgreen, or 9 miles east of Red
Bay, moving northeast at 25 mph.
