A Slight Risk Returns For Parts Of Central Alabama

| March 7, 2017 @ 2:44 pm

The Storm Prediction Center has reintroduced parts of west-central Alabama in a “Slight Risk” for severe storms, and I think that is with good reason with the storms that are moving through Tuscaloosa and Sumter counties.

Isolated damaging wind gusts remain possible across Central Alabama due to forcing along the cold front and relatively enhanced lot to mid level flow. As the line pushes farther in Central Alabama, decreasing surface temperatures and dewpoints will cause these cells to weaken.
