| February 7, 2017 @ 9:12 am

Thunderstorms with lots of lightning and torrential rains continue to lift northeastward across Central Alabama this morning.

They are not severe, but there could be some small rain in additional to the rain and lightning.

One hour rainfall rates are around one half inch, with some isolated 1 inch amounts in the heavier downpours.

They will reach the Tuscaloosa area shortly and be in the Birmingham area between 10-11 a.m.

It’s raining. It’s pouring. But I ain’t complainin’. ‘Cause I love the rain! (To quote the song by The Real Tuesday Weld.)
