NWS Birmingham Issues Wind Advisory Until Noon On Sunday

Counties included in this wind advisory include: Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Marengo.

A strong cold front will move through Central Alabama late tonight and into Sunday morning. Southerly winds ahead of the front will occasionally be 20 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. As the front passes, winds will become north northwest at 10 to 20 MPH with a few gusts 30 to 35 MPH. The gusts should subside by Sunday afternoon.
