Splendid Fall Saturday
Mainly sunny today and of course, dry. We are once again seeing those upper-level clouds in the Alabama sky, and those are filtering the sunshine some, but overall, it is another gorgeous fall day. Temperatures this afternoon are in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
Heading into tonight, the sky will be mainly clear, and that will allow temperatures to fall back down into the 40s and there may be a few upper 30s out there early in the morning.
ON THE MAPS: High pressure is building into much of the Central and Eastern U.S this weekend and the center of the high pressure is over the Ohio Valley. It is providing cooler weather this weekend for the Southeast. On the return flow side of the high, temperatures across the northern Rockies, High Plains, and upper Midwest are 15 to 25 degrees above normal. In our neck of the woods, our temperatures are running near seasonal norms.
FOR YOUR SUNDAY: It is a copy, paste kind of forecast. Tomorrow will be nearly identical to today. After the chilly start, we should see mainly sunny conditions, with those thin upper-level cirrus clouds, filtering the sun. Temperatures tomorrow afternoon, should be a degree or two cooler, so most us should see upper 60s. We do note, East Alabama may be under the influence of a more easterly flow, so temps may only be in the lower 60 tomorrow.
