At 122 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Belmont, or 7 miles west of Red Bay, moving east at 50 mph.

The Storm Prediction Center along with NWS Birmingham and NWS Huntsville has issued a TORNADO WATCH for several counties in North/Central Alabama until 7 am Saturday morning.
