A severe thunderstorm with tightening rotation just had a Tornado Warning issued on it. The rotation is located in Union County, Mississippi and is moving to the east-northeast at 50 mph.
The Storm Prediction Center along with NWS Birmingham and NWS Huntsville has issued a TORNADO WATCH for several counties in North/Central Alabama until 7 am Saturday morning.
As of 11:45 pm, it is still quiet across North/Central Alabama, even with a Tornado Watch in effect for Colbert, Franklin, and Lauderdale counties in the northwestern parts of the state.
