NWS Birmingham has cancelled the Tornado Watch for Blount, Greene, Jefferson, Sumter, Tuscaloosa counties in Central Alabama as the threat for severe storms has ended.

At 1138 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Westover, or 7 miles east of Chelsea, moving northeast at 55 mph.

At 1136 AM CST, a tornado producing storm was located near West Centreville, or near Brent, moving east at 50 mph.
Bibb County Upgraded to PDS Tornado Warning
A large tornado is in southeastern Bibb County south of Centreville.

At 1131 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Magnolia, or 11 miles southeast of Linden, moving east at 50 mph.

At 1119 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Alabaster, moving northeast at 55 mph.
Tornado Warning: Parts of Bibb Co. Until 12:15 pm
At 1114 AM CST, a tornado producing storm was located 7 miles west of Heiberger, or 10 miles northeast of Greensboro, moving northeast at 50 mph.
NOW CONFIRMED Tornado Warning for Northern Perry: High Concern for Greensboro
Tornado debris signature over Greensboro in Hale County, moving into northern Perry north of Marion. Communities up to Heiberger need to take action immeditaley.

At 1025 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Moundville, or 16 miles south of Tuscaloosa, moving east at 45 mph.

NWS Birmingham and the SPC has issued a Tornado Watch effective immediately until 5 pm this evening for the following counties in Central Alabama: Autauga, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes, Marengo, & Montgomery.
