NWS Huntsville continues the Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Cullman, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, and Morgan counties in North Alabama until 11 pm tonight. However, Colbert, Franklin, and Lauderdale counties were removed from the watch as the severe threat has ended for those locations.
NWS Birmingham has added Bibb, Dallas, and Perry counties to the Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11 pm tonight, which already includes Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Marengo, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston counties in Central Alabama.
At 845 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles south of Oktoc to near Macon to 8 miles northeast of De Kalb to Meridian, moving east at 70 mph.
A QLCS is expected to pose a risk for damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes as it moves to the east southeast. A corridor of enhanced damaging wind potential maybe developing with a bowing segment across eastern Mississippi.
Residents in West Central Alabama should be monitoring the weather very carefully as intense thunderstorms with high wind and possible tornadoes move into the state over the next hour or so.

At 635 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Adamsville to 6 miles northeast of Corinth to Glen to near Hinkle, moving east at 70 mph.
Very active weather is occurring late this afternoon in areas to the west and northwest of Alabama. The storms will push into Northwest Alabama around 8 p.m. or so. There is a low-end tornado threat, especially for areas northwest of I-59. Damaging winds and hail are the larger threats.
