At 553 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Brushy Lake, or 8 miles southeast of Moulton, moving northeast at 45 mph. This storm has a broad area of circulation with it and could produce a tornado.
NWS Huntsville cancels the Tornado Watch for Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale counties in North Alabama, but continues a Tornado Watch until 7 pm for Lawrence county in North Alabama, and until 11 pm for Cullman, Limestone, and Morgan counties in North Alabama.

At 508 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 10 miles north of Underwood-Petersville to near Leighton to 9 miles southwest of Moulton, moving northeast at 55 mph. This storm has a history of producing small hail, having several small, broad circulations, and numerous trees are down.
NWS Birmingham cancels the Tornado Watch for Lamar and Marion counties, and continues the watch for Fayette, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston counties until 7:00 pm.
