COOL MARCH DAY: Temperatures are mostly in the 50s across Alabama this afternoon with a mostly cloudy sky; look for gradual clearing tonight with a low in the 38-42 degree range. Tomorrow will be noticeably warmer with a high in the mid to upper 60s along with a partly to mostly sunny sky.
The Alabama League of Municipalities got Women’s History Month started last week with a celebration of female public officials at its annual Women in Government Leadership Luncheon.
Other than a few leftover sprinkles over the extreme southeastern parts of Central Alabama, the radar is free from any rain over the rest of North/Central Alabama as we approach the 1 pm hour.

RADAR CHECK: Rain is confined to parts of East and Southeast Alabama early this morning as a wave of low pressure along a stalled front pushes eastward. There were several severe thunderstorms across South Alabama overnight, and a few tornado warnings were issued, but the severe storms have pushed into Georgia as of 6:00 a.m.
AT 505 AM CST, A CONFIRMED TORNADO WAS LOCATED OVER WHITE OAK, OR 11
MILES WEST OF EUFAULA, MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.
NWS Birmingham cancels the Tornado Watch for Pike County as the threat of severe weather has exited the county, but continues the watch for Barbour County until 8 am.
At 356 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Antioch, or 7 miles south of Troy, moving east at 40 mph.
