At 459 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles northwest of Moundville, or 12 miles southwest of Tuscaloosa, moving northeast at 70 mph.

At 438 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Gorgas Steam Plant, or 13 miles south of Cordova, moving east at 70 mph.
At 434 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over New West Greene, or 16 miles south of Aliceville, moving northeast at 60 mph.
AT 416 PM CST, A CONFIRMED LARGE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO WAS LOCATED OVER BOLEY SPRINGS, OR 19 MILES EAST OF FAYETTE, MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH.
At 358 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Gordo, moving northeast at 65 mph.
A new TORNADO WATCH has been issued until 9 pm tonight for the following counties… in Central Alabama: Autauga, Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Etowah, Jefferson, Marengo, Perry, Shelby, St. Clair, and Talladega.
The evolution of one or two supercells posing a risk to produce tornadoes remains possible into the 6-8 PM CST time frame.
Conditions continue to deteriorate over the western parts of North/Central Alabama as storms are becoming severe with a couple of tornado warnings issued.
At 330 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Prairie Point, or 9 miles southwest of Pickensville, moving northeast at 65 mph.
At 320 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Lamar County Airport, or near Sulligent, moving northeast at 55 mph.
At 259 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Preston, moving northeast at 65 mph.
TORNADO WATCH: A tornado watch is in effect for areas north and west of Birmingham through 8:00 tonight… radar showers a band of strong storms pushing into West Alabama at mid-afternoon.
Prefrontal rain has moved into the west and northwestern parts of North/Central Alabama that is well below severe criteria. However, the stronger to severe cells are located just off to the west of our activity and is moving to the northeast around 70 mph and will enter the northwestern corner of the area by 3:00-3:15 pm.
