At 1039 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing torrential rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
At 1018 PM CST, a tornado producing storm was located near Lay Lake, or 7 miles south of Columbiana, moving east at 35 mph.
At 952 PM CST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain and creek rises due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.

NWS Birmingham cancels the Tornado Watch for Bibb, Blount, Cherokee, Etowah, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Pickens, St. Clair, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa counties in Central Alabama as the threat of severe storms has come to an end.
At 933 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. 2 inches of rain may fall in a short period of time.
At 925 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Piedmont, moving east at 45 mph.
At 924 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Centreville, moving east at 35 mph.
At 919 PM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Moshat to near Ball Flat, moving east at 45 mph.
The Storm Prediction Center along with NWS Birmingham has issued a Tornado Watch effective until 4 am for Cleburne, Clay, Randolph, Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, and Chambers counties in Central Alabama.
At 914 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Alexandria, or 7 miles northwest of Jacksonville, moving east at 40 mph.
