At 353 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Talladega National Forest, or 8 miles southeast of Centreville, moving east at 50 mph.

At 341 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of Kinterbish, or 15 miles southeast of York, moving east at 55 mph.
At 339 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Harrisburg, or near Brent, moving east at 45 mph.
At 319 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southwest of Mertz, or 11 miles northeast of Greensboro, moving east at 45 mph. Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
SCATTERED STORMS INCREASING: Thunderstorms are increasing through parts of Central Alabama this afternoon; one storm has moved through parts of Sumter, Greene, and Hale counties in West Alabama producing large hail. Other storms that form will also be capable of large hail as they move northeast. The good news is that wind profiles do not support tornado activity over Alabama now. SPC maintains a “slight risk” (level 2/5) of severe thunderstorms for most of the state.
At 247 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Walden Quarters, or near Eutaw, moving east at 50 mph.
At 242 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Decatur, moving northeast at 55 mph. Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.
At 221 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Emelle, or 7 miles north of Livingston, moving east at 35 mph.
At 2:02 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Athens, moving northeast at 55 mph. Penny size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.
At 158 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Porterville, or 11 miles north of Lauderdale, moving east at 40 mph.
This severe thunderstorm is moving to the east at 40 MPH and may affect Emelle, Geiger, Gainesville, Epes, and Livingston within the next 30-60 minutes.
Storms are firing up over the southern parts of Mississippi and down into the east and southeastern parts of Louisiana. It is uncertain at this point if a severe weather watch will be needed, but these are definitely storms that we’ll need to keep our eyes on.
At 11:35 am, we have a few scattered showers that have formed over the west-central parts of Central Alabama that are moving into an environment that was worked over pretty well earlier this morning.
