At 840 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Smith Dam, or 10 miles northeast of Jasper, moving northeast at 65 mph.
At 835 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Smith Dam to near Sumiton to 6 miles south of Gorgas Steam Plant, moving east at 65 mph.
At 832 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Holt, moving east at 50 mph.

At 737 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that heavy rain was falling over the area. The heavy rain will cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Emergency Management also reports flooding in some locations near and to the southwest of Fort Payne.
