The Strongest Cell Was Located Near Hollywood, Or Near Scottsboro, With Another Storm Of Similar Magnitude Located In The Region Between Pisgah And Stevenson. Both Storms Were Moving To The Northeast At 60 Mph. Nickel Size Hail And Wind Gusts Of 30 To 40 Mph Will Be Possible With This Storm.

Western Elmore County, you need to stay weather aware and ready to act. The tornado-warned cell just to your west in Autauga County looks to be wrapping up tighter and the warning should be carried over into Elmore County.

A couple of severe storms linger across parts of central through east central Alabama, but severe weather potential, in general, is in the process of diminishing. If trends continue as currently anticipated through the next hour or two, it is possible that the remaining valid portions of the watch could be cancelled prior to the scheduled Midnight CDT (1 AM EDT) expiration.

People in the western parts of Elmore should stay weather aware as a tornado-warned storm is over the northern parts of Autauga County and headed in your direction.

At 8:42 PM CDT, Doppler Radar Was Tracking A Strong Thunderstorm Over Cullman, Moving Northeast At 55 Mph. Nickel Size Hail And Wind Gusts Of 30 To 40 Mph Will Be Possible With This Storm.
We continue to have the potential for damaging winds, hail, and a few tornadoes at least for a few more hours, but the severe weather threat should come to an end around midnight or so.
