Looking wet today and Monday with a break Tuesday and Wednesday before more rain late Wednesday into Thursday. Temperatures expected to remain warmer than our 30-year averages for late February, but no new records are likely.

Stormy Later Today
Storms are forecast later today especially for the northwest quadrant of Alabama with rain likely for Sunday and Monday across much of Central Alabama.
Pattern for Record Warmth
Sunday will be relatively cool when compared to the forecast highs for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday when a strong upper ridge brings the potential for record-setting highs for the first half of the week.
Wet and Warm for the Week Ahead
With a strong ridge centered over Florida and the Bahamas, the weather across the Southeast US will remain warm for the week ahead. However, the ridge also maintains a tap into Pacific moisture keeping our sky cloudy much of the time with rain chances just about every day for the week ahead.

Still Wet but Drier for Monday and Tuesday
We remain showery today while the heaviest rain has moved a bit further east. It will be pretty warm for the middle of February with highs in Central Alabama in the middle and upper 60s. As the front settles through the area, Monday will be about 10 degrees cooler.
Wet Weather Next Three Days
Next three days are going to be wet and mild across Alabama with a marginal risk for severe storms. Rainfall amounts are forecast to be in the 2 to 2.5 inch range helping to stop drought conditions.

Rain Moves Out; Dry and Cooler Monday
Rain should move out of most of Central Alabama by late morning/early afternoon. Monday and Tuesday should be dry with another shot of beneficial rain in the late Tuesday/Wednesday time frame. More rain possible by Saturday and Sunday.
Rain Goes on a Roller Coaster Ride
The next seven days will be a roller coaster ride for rain with rain tonight and early Sunday, again late Tuesday into Wednesday, repeating again for Saturday. Fortunately there is no evidence of any extreme cold.

Warm Today, Rain Monday
Southerly flow continues today so we can expect to see some warm weather with highs in the middle and upper 60s. Rain moves in early Monday with the potential for isolated severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind. Temperatures drop back about 10 degrees on Tuesday.
Warming Kicks In; Wet Monday
A warming trend continues for the weekend as the weather remains dry. Clouds increase Sunday and Monday ahead of a cold front that should bring rain to much of Alabama from Monday morning through Tuesday morning.
