The weather remains fairly nice today with only a small risk for showers. The wedge brings a cool down to Central Alabama on Monday, but it weakens with a good warm up by Tuesday. Our main rain chances come from the latter half of Wednesday into Thursday.

Our weather pattern is setting up for a severe weather threat today from about noon to 8 pm mainly across South Alabama. The main severe weather events are expected on Monday from afternoon into evening with large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes possible.

Wet weather remains for much of Alabama today but should be ending from the west and northwest this evening and into early Monday morning. A deep trough digging into the eastern US tonight will bring colder air into the Southeast including the potential for freezing temperatures Tuesday through Thursday mornings.
Early Saturday starting out dry but clouds will be thickening and rain will develop along a stationary front across northern Alabama. Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches possible before rain begins to end during the afternoon on Sunday.
