RADAR CHECK: Rain is still falling this morning over Mobile and Baldwin counties, but the rest of the state is dry. Cooler spots are in the 40s over North Alabama where the sky is clear.
RADAR CHECK: The sky has become mostly sunny over the northern 2/3 of Alabama this afternoon, but light rain lingers near the Gulf Coast. The rain over southern Mobile and Baldwin counties will fade this evening; for the rest of the state tonight will be mostly fair
RADAR CHECK: We have showers this morning over Northwest Alabama ahead of a surface front, and also areas of light rain over the southwest corner of the state. Showers over the northern half of the state will end later this morning
RADAR CHECK: We have a few showers on radar this afternoon across Southwest Alabama, otherwise there is a mix of sun and clouds across the state with temperatures mostly in the 70s. Some of the warmer spots are in the low 80s.
Many Alabama communities will exceed 80 degrees again today with a mix of sun and clouds under a strong upper ridge, the same ridge that is keeping the hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico far to the south. A few spotty showers are possible this afternoon, mainly over the southern half of the state.
RADAR CHECK: Most of Alabama is rain-free this afternoon; we note just a few showers around Mobile Bay. With a mix of sun and clouds temperatures are in the upper 70s and low 80s. Huntsville reached 84 degrees at 2p CT… that is a new record high for November 7 (the old record was 82 set last in 2023).
WARM NOVEMBER DAYS: Expect a high in the 78-82 degree range across Alabama today and tomorrow, about ten degrees above average for early November. We will forecast a mix of sun and clouds both days with just a few isolated showers around; chance of any one spot seeing rain is 20-25 percent.
RADAR CHECK: We have scattered showers and thunderstorms across much of Alabama this afternoon… otherwise we have more clouds than sun with temperatures mostly in the mid to upper 70s. We will maintain the chance of a few showers tonight with a mostly cloudy sky.
WARM, SHOWERY WEATHER: A stalled surface front is near the Mississippi River this morning, and moisture levels will continue to increase across Alabama today. We will mention a chance of scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm through tonight.
RADAR CHECK: Scattered showers continue across Alabama this afternoon…. otherwise we have a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures in the 77-82 degree range. Dothan has reached 85 degrees and is the warmest spot in the state.
SHOWERS TODAY: We note some light rain and sprinkles across parts of Alabama early this morning as moisture levels begin to rise across the southern U.S. and a front approaches from the west.
THIS AFTERNOON: The sky is partly to mostly sunny across Alabama this afternoon with temperatures in the 77-82 degree range. The sky becomes mostly cloudy late tonight with a low in the 60s.
DRY, MILD MONDAY: With a partly sunny we are forecasting a high in the upper 70s for North Alabama today, with low 80s for the southern counties of the state. We note the average high for Birmingham on November 4 is 69.
RADAR CHECK: Most of the showers have dissipated across Alabama this afternoon; the sky is mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 70s over the northern half of the state.
