Active Storms Affecting Gadsden Area

Strong thunderstorms are just south of I-59 this afternoon over Etowah and northern St. Clair Counties.

The strongest cells extend from Gadsden down to Rainbow City and Southside then further down US-411 to just north of Ragland.

The storms are intensifying still, especially in the Gadsden area.

The storms are moving northeast and will affect Glencoe and Hokes Bluff.

Tremendous amounts of lightning, as well as very heavy rain and gusty winds.
